Walk into St. James Preschool and in addition to our light-filled, first-floor classrooms, you will notice our kitchen facilities, lunch room and large, indoor gym. The gym is an essential space during inclement weather, but it also serves as a terrific area for children to get up and move and develop gross motor skills by riding bikes, enjoying the climbing equipment or making a structure with the cushions and blocks. When the weather is cooperative, students enjoy playing in our excellent outdoor playground, which is adjacent to the school.
All classrooms are cleaned on a daily basis by our in-house custodian. Each weekend, all equipment, toys and dress-up clothing are washed and disinfected as well. Students and staff have ample space in the St. James Preschool facilities to support learning, exploring and discovering.
